Justification

Justification

Vocational skills training courses that the institution has been offering, and its certificates have been basic and not recognized by the Technical, Entrepreneurial and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TEVETA).

Lack of perimeter fence around the institution has seen an increase in land encroachment over the years. This also makes the centre not conducive considering that the trainees are blind and outsiders would take advantage of their situation.

The teaching/ instruction and learning materials that the centre is currently using are old model and not enough. The use of old model equipment and technologies does not fully help trainees that go for rehabilitation skills training to get back to school or work considering that the equipment and devices that they found in their respective working places and schools are modern.
