Justification
Energy accounts for approximately 32% of CRWB operating costs, while grid electricity supply remains unreliable and increasingly expensive. Power outages and fuel shortages for diesel generators directly disrupt water production, leading to intermittent supply, increased operating costs, and service unreliability. Transitioning to solar and hybrid energy systems will stabilise water production costs, reduce exposure to grid and fuel volatility, and improve supply reliability.
