Thematic area
Human Capital Development
Justification
Inadequate rented space and frequent evictions limit the implementation of MNCU’s activities in all five areas, i.e. Education, Natural Science, Social and Human Sciences, Culture and Communication & Information, which include capacity building, cultural activities, and science fairs, to mention a few.
The Peace House will create more space for office and public use, as well as implementation of capacity building activities in UNESCO’s fields of competence at a fee to generate revenue which will reduce dependence on UNESCO and government resources.
The Resource Centre will be run using a business model which will ultimately reduce dependence on subvention by an estimated 25% per annum after four years of completion of the center building
Expected outcomes
MNCU’s financial sustainability strengthened through diversified revenue and enhanced service delivery capacity.
